Introducing our patient process

Our patient process is designed to step you through an assessment of your current health condition. Optimising your health through a combination of general medicine and evidence-based holistic principals is our passion. Whether you have a straightforward medical concern or a longer standing and complex health issue, we get to know you and work with you to help uncover your best self.

STEP 1. CONNECT

To see a Whole Medicine GP, contact us via phone or complete our Online New Patient Request Form.

We believe good medicine takes time after all Whole Medicine is about understanding your big picture including your emotional, physical, mental and environmental health.

Whether you have a straightforward medical concern or a longer standing and complex health issue, we get to know you and work with you to help uncover your best self.

STEP 2. INVEST

For new patients, we recommend:

  • A 45-minute appointment. This allows for an interactive consultation where you and your doctor begin working together to understand your health and how to improve it.
  • A 30-minute appointment is available if you have a less complex health concern.
  • You can also book a "new family" appointment, which is 30-minutes for one parent and 15-minutes per child.

STEP 3. DISCOVER

Following your initial appointment, if any tests are required your doctor will order these and explain them to you.

The information is used to better understand your health before your doctor discusses what they believe is the best way forward.

This may include a combination of general medicine practices and evidence-based holistic principals, as well as referrals to specialists or allied health practitioners, non-drug treatments, lifestyle counselling or minor surgery.

STEP 4. SUPPORT

Our team will help you source any necessary equipment, prescribed supplements or additional information you may need as we work to treat the cause, not just your symptoms.

A nurse is available to help you with your health goals and check in on your progress. Our friendly reception staff will also keep you informed of your appointment and payment options.

STEP 5. COMMITMENT

Your overall health is important to you and us that's why we offer a range of options for follow ups, acute "on the day" appointments and ongoing consultations, including 15-, 30- and 45-minute appointments
